$125K - $159K a year JOB PURPOSE:
The Chief of Staff will be responsible for planning and managing all administrative and operational activities along with managing the entire treatment process for patients who have been admitted to the facility by creating and recommending treatment plans, recording medical histories, and updating information for existing patient records with the most recent findings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Create and recommend treatment plans.
Diagnose, treat, or provide continuous care to hospital inpatients.
Oversees the mid-levels.
Oversees quality metrics and key performance indicators for quality.
Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide efficient quality patient care.
Provides department leaders with recommendations and consultation.
Evaluates and improves teaching and nursing practices and recommends modifications.
Review and interpret test results.
Provides educational information to patients, family, and care givers.
Counsels patients and family and care givers about death, side effects of medication, therapy, etc.
Responds to and intervenes in emergency situations such as anaphylaxis, hypoglycemia, hypotension, hemorrhage, respiratory distress, etc.
Assumes lead role to ensure policies, procedures, and physician's orders are followed.
Assesses and monitors patient response to procedures and treatments.
Establishes diagnoses.
Evaluates collected patient data and collaborates with the healthcare team to form a diagnosis.
Establishes the plan of care for patients by evaluating all pertinent information and collaborating with healthcare team.
Implements the plan of care by writing patient care orders.
Orders diagnostic tests and procedures, medication, consultations, workups, etc.
Collects samples from patients including blood, urine, etc.
Prepares samples for analysis or shipment.
Records various readings such as heart and respiratory rate, blood pressure, weight, body temperature, etc.
Collects all laboratory reports, data, and records.
Answers routine questions from patients, family, and care givers.
Performs various other duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position within scope of practice.

EDUCATION/
Qualifications:
Ph.
D.
, MD or Professional Degree in Medicine from an accredited medical school.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Five (5) years' experience in healthcare services.
Preferably for geriatric patients in rural health clinics and skilled nursing facilities.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
Current Oklahoma M.
D.
or D.
O.
license Current BLS, ACLS and PALS (or obtained within 30 days of hire) Current Oklahoma and Federal Narcotics license.
